The future of the Travellers Rest has been confirmed as a children's nursery. The Harewood Road inn was the village's third pub, though its location away from the village centre made it unviable for many operators. In recent years it had become predominantly a restaurant business though this didnt work either. Last year it was bought by a building company to be turned into its ofices though the building company subsequently folded.

Now Kiddicare has announced that it has bought the property to turn into a nursery and would be applying for change of use soon. They consider the location with its ample parking to be ideal for their needs.
